This episode is inspired by a comment left by Margaret! She was curious to hear more about family planning. In this episode I discuss:

  • When we got married & why we chose to wait 5 years before trying to get pregnant.

  • The questions we asked ourselves prior to trying to get pregnant.

  • How I prepped my body for pregnancy.

5 reasons why I like smoothies…

It’s an easy way to pack in the nutrients..

  1. By adding different fruits, vegetables, protein powders and healthy fats into each smoothie. It’s such an easy way to make sure you are getting a nutrient dense meal.

  2. I love adding flaxseeds, chia seeds or hemp seeds into my smoothies for healthy fats!

  3. I always add collagen or protein powder into my smoothies for added protein. That protein helps keep me full!

  4. I sneak in veggies like cauliflower, zucchini and even avocado to make it filling and delicious!

It keeps you hydrated…

  1. If you add a base of water or coconut water, it is super refreshing & can even boost your electrolytes!

  2. It’s perfect for post workout, especially with all that protein!

It’s easy to digest…

  • Blending fruits and veggies helps break them down so it’s easier on your digestive system! This makes you body able to absorb the nutrients!

  • If you have difficulty consuming raw veggies and fruits, try blending them together!

It’s convenient and quick…

  • You just throw everything into a blender & blend for 60 seconds. Easy peasy!

  • If you have extra time on a Sunday, pack the ingredients in the smoothie into freezer safe baggies. That way, when you’re ready to make your smoothie, just pop the contents of the bag into the blender & add liquid to blend!

You’ll need a blender…

Here are 2 different ones I love!

Vitamix: High powered blender I have had for more than 6 years! I feel like everyone needs one of these in their house. It has a higher price point but it’s such great quality!

Nutribullet: This one is a single serving size with a lower price point. It’s still great quality but I have had to replace mine every 2 years or so.

Here’s a bonus smoothie recipe for you!
