We are still in Santa Barbara visiting my parents and we heard that there was going to be a big wind storm coming through. We prepared for power loss but never thought the impact would be so heavy. The winds south of us reached 100mph. I am at a loss for words on how horrific these Los Angeles fires have been to watch from afar.
Southern California is where I grew up, and having spent 7 years as a resident of Los Angeles, it’s heartbreaking to say the least. What’s even harder is witnessing friends and family lose their homes and cherished belongings.
Sadly, it’s a feeling all too familiar after experiencing the recent hurricanes in Florida. My heart goes out to everyone impacted… I am sending my prayers to you right now!
During these anxiety-inducing times, I’ve been leaning into small habits and routines to help me stay grounded.
