This apple pie oatmeal recipe is one of my favorites for the fall, especially as we go apple picking and have a surplus of apples sitting around the house!
I prefer to prep these on Sunday or Monday, because the recipe yields 4-5 servings. This means that you can share the recipe with your kiddos, partner or just enjoy breakfast for a few days in a row without much thought!
It’s cozy, filled with warming spices and the toppings just perfectly work together to create a creamy and crunchy goodness.
I included a step-by-step video tutorial in this recipe too! So if you’re more of a visual learner, you can click on the YouTube link below to make it with me step-by-step. It’s paced at a good speed so you can keep up with me live!
In the video, I will teach you:

How to make oatmeal easily digestible.
The ingredients needed for this apple pie oatmeal are honestly pantry staples: oats, apples, applesauce and nuts/seeds for the topping. But you know I am all about elevating things for an extra pack of nutrition:
Tip #1: Add Protein Powder
What: Stir in a scoop of your favorite protein powder into the oatmeal base for added protein.
How: I prefer to do this by cooking the oats, then mixing a scoop or 2 of protein powder with a few tablespoons of water. Mix, mix, mix until well combined & it forms into a creamy paste. Then add that back into the oats.
Why: You won’t get any clumps in your oatmeal.
Recommendation: If you need a protein recommendation, try this one from Nuzest, it’s plant based & the cleanest one I have found on the market! Use the code JAZZ for a discount!
Tip #2: Use Lemon
What: Squeeze a little bit of lemon over your apple slices to keep them from browning!
Why: That way, if you want to slice some apples up and throw them in a separate container for the topping later on during the week, it’ll be fresh!
Tip #3: Load Oatmeal with Toppings
Toppings can add so much excitement to oatmeal, in this recipe we have yogurt, pecans and nut butter. But there are so many more options!
Try adding walnuts, slivered almonds, pumpkin seeds or even a homemade coconut whipped cream to your oatmeal! In case you need a recipe, try mine here!
