2023 Reflections Exercise
It’s the last week of 2022, and one of my favorite things to do this time of year is set out time to reflect! I think we often disregard how far we have come, how much we accomplish and always move on to the next goal or “thing to do.”
This reflection exercise has been really powerful for me. I have been doing it since 2019.
Here’s what I do:
I light a candle & get in comfortable clothes. Pour yourself a cup of warm tea or your favorite beverage. Put on some cozy jazz music in the background and tell everyone in your house that you’re working on something for an hour (so they don’t pop in to bother you). Grab a journal and a pen and begin writing!
If you want to also do my journal reflections exercise, here are the questions to ask yourself & answer in a journal:
What are my biggest accomplishments this year?
What were the 5 best days this year? What do they have in common?
What did I learn?
Who do I need to forgive?
What do I need to take accountability for?
What were my biggest challenges this year? What did I learn about them?
What do I want to give up?
What one thing could I do that would make the biggest difference?
I hope this serves you, and helps you realize how amazing of a human you are. Sending you all so much love. Thank you for the support this year & I hope we can have an even BETTER 2023 ahead. Love you & happy new year!
