I’m the first person to admit that there is nothing wrong with rice. In fact, being Persian, I grew up eating rice every single day! It is just a part of the culture. You eat rice every night with some sort of herbed stew.
With that said, I am always down for finding alternatives here and there. I found this brand that does low carb, high protein rice with clean like lentils, chickpeas and peas. I thought… nice. If this tastes good, this will be a staple. And turns out, it’s amazing.
I do a lot of plant based meals, not intentional, just simply because I am low on time & lazy. Where are my fellow lazy dinner cooks? 🙋🏻♀️
This lemon garlic rice one is perfect as a base to your favorite protein, or as a simple meal, paired with some veggies because of its higher protein content.
For my macro loving friends, it basically has 1/2 the amount of carbs, double the protein as regular white rice… GAINS.
Anyway, you don’t have to make this recipe with protein rice, you can certainly use my simple fluffy rice recipe as the base. But the lemon and garlic flavor just POP in your mouth. You’ll love it.
