Watermelon basil balsamic salad…
This salad is refreshing & flavorful. It is perfect for the warm summer days, when it’s hot outside & you just need a quick refreshing bite.
It only calls for 5 ingredients, all of which I can bet you have in your fridge or pantry! It’s tangy, sweet, savory and tart all at the same time!
Make it as a side dish, bring it to a BBQ, have it as a light lunch or even for breakfast (yup, it’s a very traditional Persian breakfast). The recipe is below!
Fun facts about watermelon…
Great for hydration! A watermelon is made up of about 90% water, so it can help keep you nice and hydrated!
Lots of antioxidants! it helps get rid of those free radicals in your body caused by stress and environmental factors. Amazing for helping heal cells from damage.
Great for skin! because of it’s high water content, it can be a great way to keep our skin hydrated.
Aids in digestion! Its fiber content is great for keeping us regular!
What to serve it with…
