I’m in Santa Barbara for the month!
This has been such an “out of routine” month for me thus far. Olive and I are staying in Santa Barbara, CA for the whole month with my parents as we are in the middle of a cross country move from California to Florida. Troy is in Florida with our cat Bobby, unpacking the house and making it move in ready for us (what a champ). He has such a hard job ahead of him, I don’t envy him at all. At the same time, I wish I was there to help organize. Organizing is really my thing… In fact, if I could start any business or do anything, it would be a personal/professional organizer. It just gets me excited. Anyway, all of our furniture arrived, and now he has 60 boxes to unpack. Good luck Troy!!
Onto Olive and I… I have always had childcare since Olive was about 5 months old. This month is the first month without childcare! It’s just Olive and I… all day, all night. My parents work almost all day, getting home really late. I knew going into this month it would be a shift but I am loving every second. Yes, it’s hard. But man is it worth it. I have never been able to spend this much time with Olive one-on-one.
My work hours are during her naps 12:30-2:30ish. And if she doesn’t nap that day, then lucky me ;). I anticipated my bandwidth so I took on a bit less work this month. I am working out less, working less, and it’s honestly been a great practice for me to slow down. I needed to slow down.

This recipe feels like the salmon you get at a restaurant, from the comfort of your own home. Plus, it’s made in the oven so it doesn’t require an air fryer!
