This resonated so much! Thank you for sharing! When looking for a new home, what did you prioritize and how did you find a neighborhood you were excited about?
Glad it resonated! By living in so many different homes, we picked out all of our favorite things about the homes. And we kind of listed off the "must-haves" - the non-negotiable per say. For us it was 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, garage (for our gym space + storage), backyard with a pool and a decent sized kitchen that was open to the living room. We were not going to budge on any of these things, a house that didn't have that wasn't going to to work for us. So it actually helped narrow it down a lot that way!
As far as neighborhood, we drove past soooo many neighborhoods, and we used our intuition in terms of how safe it felt. Safety was #1 for us!! We honestly looked around at all of the other houses in the neighborhood, spoke with the neighbors & wanted it to feel safe. So if it felt even a little bit "off" - it wasn't going to work. We actually bought in a neighborhood that I initially wasn't interested in but stumbled upon. Oh price also came to play with neighborhoods. There were certain neighborhoods that were a dream but we just wouldn't be able to find our dream home in the price point we had! Hope that helps!
I love this Jazz. Thank you for sharing. I personally had this epiphany in my career just days before giving birth to my second son. My gut was telling me something had to change. It was a huge relief yet I was so scared. You are not alone. So glad that you are able to find balance again in your life. I am very happy for you Azizam.
